A change of name and a change of focus are both on the horizon . . .

It is time to clean the slate, rid out minds of manic clutter and focus on the real future.

Good news all around.  Loquacious Placemat was recently added to Duotrope.com's directory of literary markets.  This has led to a gratifying bump in submissions.  We have sent out a few acceptances for Issue 2 (Jan/Feb 2010) and will probably be electing stories for the Mar/Apr edition by the end of the month!

We are still open to submissions on a rolling basis, but may close submissions temporarily depending on what happens to volume in the coming weeks.

We've been kicking around the idea of theme issues, so keep your eyes open for some announcements in that vein in the near future.

The first issue of Loquacious Placemat was (from an artistic standpoint) a raging success.  The print run was smaller than we had originally hoped, but reaction to both the print and online editions was very very positive.

As such, we are continuing this strange journey and seeking additional material.  So do you have a short story, manifesto or poem that you would like to see appear on the 'mat?  Send it to twistedthistleproductions{at}gmail\dot/com.  Please have your submission directly in the body of the email.  We hope to hear from you soon.

Greetings.

We've been busy lately.  The first acceptance and rejection letters for Loquacious Placemat will be sent out by the end of this week, (though we do not yet have the issue filled so feel free to send more!).  We are currently pricing printers and trying to engage a new sponsor since our original backer has hit a stumbling block.

If nothing else, Loquacious Placemat will debut online and in a limited print run 08/01/2009.

Eric Stoveken's collection of short stories: The Devil Yearns for the Pefect Denver Omelet and Other Revelations is designed and laid out and will be ready to launch as soon as rights issues are solidified.

Fuck 'Em!: The Healing Power of Spite is going to be available as a podcast by the end of this summer with interactive live shows to follow in the fall.

Fun times ahead.  Want to get involved?  Feel free to contact us.
